It seems I have not been getting to this community as much as of late. While I love the transformed consciousness of the people here, I am often unsure which communities to really contribute to and allow to contribute to me.

However, I am going to keep playing.

I am no longer that person who was angry at the world and shrinking while I was laid up with 2 broken leg bones and a broken ankle bone. Thank goodness for those people who talk straight to me. I actually have had a sense of peace that I have not had in a long while.

So, in the meantime, I am determining how I can make money from home until I can work a 2nd job and rebuild my savings, and I am investigating my job of the future. There has to be some way where I make money doing what I love. I know I can manifest it because I manifested $10k within a little more than 6 months even though I didn't know how I was going to do it. I was off by 3 weeks. That was really cool.

Now, to fulfill on the intention to being paid to do what I love. There are a couple of things that come to mind. First, I am in a course where we create our contribution to the world. So mine is that by 2035 all people will transform their well-being where people, organizations, and countries are all working for the common good. The underlying idea behind that is the evolution of the human spirit and really the human potential unleashed.

I have not entirely determined how I will fulfill on that for the world and myself; however, my intention is to create two launching events: one as a blog and the second one as an event where we bring people together in DC and we take a look at what is missing that if we put it into place would make a difference. Typically, I look at that as a way of being. And, well-being is definitely missing.

I think a lot of what is missing as a form of "doing" are transformed structures such that people can get the healthcare they need, as well as well-being that will make a difference and is affordable.

As for me, I have to create or find the job that I love. I told someone that I was working at a job that I have no love for, and it is not utilizing my skills. And, it is not like we didn't look (i.e. my employers and I). Her response: I am prostituting myself if I am doing something I don't love just for the money. That was nasty enough for me to put myself in action. Oh, and just to be responsible, I am in the IT field and I am not doing something kinky over here. Just the life-sucking work of trying to find something to do almost every day.

Mary

I have spent much time reflecting as of late. It seems I come up with great ideas, and then never take action on them. I even leave people inspired but then there is no follow through and then I go back to sleep as the walking dead person. And, then something jolts me awake, and I go back to sleep.

I am having another one of those jolts. I am currently healing my leg that was broken in three places. I am not too thrilled that I have metal in my body keeping my leg bones, above the ankle, stabilized. I would prefer that my own bones could stand up on their own merit.

I am also going through the fear of not being able to do the things that I love again, and even if I could I have the fear of always holding back because I fear breaking something again.

Quite frankly, I am just really angry that this happened and I figured starting to blog again would help, and it does.

In the meantime, I am feeling well enough that I can actually read and clear-headed enough that I can do meditations. So, I am re-visiting the book "Creating Money" and "Living with Joy" both by Sanaya Roman. I am also finishing up on reading the book, "Why Your Life Sucks" which is absolutely funny. A friend recommended it a couple years ago, and I absolutely see why now that I am reading it for a second time. Last, I am also reading "Conversations with Millionaires". It's a book that was given as part of a coaching package years ago, and I never read it. Oddly, what is said in that book is what is covered in the movie, "The Secret" and the books by Sanaya Roman.

In the meantime, I am going to be spending some time re-connecting to people in this community and going from there.

This is one of the best online communities one could be a part of.

It has been a long while since I have been here. It seems that being on the phone works so much better than on email or online.

Anyways, I was in the inquiry of "What would I give my life to?" if money and nothing else were a concern. This is what I came up with: all people's well-being transformed beyond what they think is possible where people, organizations, and countries are all working for the common good by 2035.

One of the ways that will be manifested will be in the integration of Tae Kwon Do, Qigong, adventure, and consultation.

Now, there is coming up with the funding to take the course that would train me in delivering that powerfully. What I have been doing is attempting to figure out how to pay for it on my own rather than asking people to invest in me and the vision I am creating in the world. Oddly, I have absolutely no power in asking for money. It is like I can't even speak the request.

Mary

Third Degree Black Belt Test Essay

The title is based on the topic given. Special thanks are given to those who reviewed it, did edit work, or sent an email of acknowledgement:

Tae Kwon Do and My Future

I have often pondered what being a black belt really meant. The meaning had slipped my grasp such that I no longer know what it means to be a black belt. While at first I found this to be greatly disturbing, I now find it freeing. Why freeing? Because I know that in any given moment I can invent and design who I am as a black belt.

I am not searching for the destination or attaching any meaning to the destination (i.e. results). Rather, I am inventing the journey that would bring the most joy and fulfillment that can be shared with others. It is only in being joyful and alive, myself, that others will be touched by the joy and aliveness.

I am including my black belt in my overall vision for my life: the possibility of people reconnecting to their highest expression. Do I know what it looks like? Not completely. I have visions of possible directions that I can take and that the world of martial arts, as a whole, can take. What there is to do is take one step at a time in my journey as a black belt, letting the path unfold before me without being attached to the results. What there is to do is play the game that impassions me no matter how it looks.

So, I commit to giving my skills and my passion away to people as a gift while honoring myself. That may, initially, take the form of teaching people. It may also take the form of creating partnerships with organizations who want to see their vision reach more people.

What has me inventing and designing a new future, as a black belt, when I have been holding back for so long? When I was practicing on the sands of Los Cabos, Mexico, another tourist told me that she had seen me practicing. She was seriously considering taking Tae Kwon Do when she returned home. In that moment, I realized how stingy it would be to take what I learned without giving back.

The opportunity is to take what has been created here, and will continue to be created, and apply it to all of life. After all, isn't that what life is all about: taking on the next challenge and giving everything you have while enjoying the ride?

The 3rd Degree Black Belt Test: Battle of the Mind

For the first time, I was actually afraid to take a belt test. My belt tests at GA Tech were much harder. In this test, there were many lessons learned. I will not include all the examples that correlate to the lessons. The lessons can be applied to life as well as the test.

First lesson: Share with as many people as possible that you are testing especially if you are nervous about doing it. I emailed 200-300 people an invitation. The night before, I wanted to back out, but didn't because I knew people would want to know. I also didn't know how many people would come who did not RSVP.

I also became sick the morning of the test. Normally, I would become 10 times more ill by engaging in physical activity. I did not back out because so many people knew.

Second lesson: Playing the game is more important than whether or not I prevail. There were many circumstances to overcome just to be able to test - being sick, time, learning some forms as little as two days beforehand, etc.

Third lesson: Move to your own rythym if moving with the rythym of others does not work.

Fourth lesson: When the mind is quiet and still there is ease of movement. There are no obstacles. Without a quiet and still mind, there is pain and confusion. Breaking boards was a great example. Boards that are normally not a problem to break, were a problem when I was thinking. Forms and kicking combinations were a problem when thinking. When I did not think, a piece of one board flew across the room and sparring was easy.

Fifth lesson: When you practice anything for six months it becomes a part of who you are.

Yesterday was the climax of my frustration with regards to a leadership accountability I have. The problem wasn't time, it wasn't too many activities that I am engaged in, or anything else like that. The problem was that I did not have a future that was big enough for me to aspire to. In those moments when I have a future that is big enough, anywhere in life, it is like I am drawn to action and I am inspired.

The second part of the frustration was that I had a broken agreement to lead classrooms for a leadership program in Feb. because I choose to coach another leadership program first.

So, I am creating what classroom leader is and will be for me. That is perfect because this weekend, I also have an essay to write expressing what my future is as a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

It would be tempting to now create and design every aspect of my life this weekend; however, I am going to take it one step at a time.

The past 7-8 months have been pretty incredibly busy. And, no I have not created my Tae Kwon Do Center yet! And that is okay.

There came a point when I became very unsettled. I know that I can create and invent my life, but what if I never discovered my life's purpose? What if I was never fully satisfied? There I was like a ping-pong ball engaging in other people's projects because I thought I should, and their project is inspiring. I was also battling between doing that which calls to me and going only after money. I was leaning more towards chasing money.

At some point, a series of synchronous events led me to a series of books starting with the book "Living With Joy". Joy, something I wasn't sure I had any longer. I was to discover otherwise once I started to speak to people and once I started to eliminate the clutter of activities that I thought I should be doing. Note: I said should rather than love. :) There are a few things that I enjoy in life: Tae Kwon Do, writing, travelling, adventure/exploration, hiking, talking to people (the fulfilling conversations, not the empty conversations of gossip, weather and the like).

Over the next week and a half, I will be testing for my 3rd degree black belt. I will continue to be intensely studying this next week and a half, and I will be writing an essay of my future as a black belt. That is perfect because I was planning to create an invent that in December. :) And, in the meantime, I will continue reading the book "Living with Joy" and doing the meditations.

In following my joy, I will take one step at a time. Sometimes the light of our path only shines that far ahead.

Last week, I became very aware that anything is possible. That there is no shortage of resources if they are allowed in.

I also became aware that there would be tremendous power in playing the same game as my coachees, beyond the coaching game: creating a game (i.e. endeavor) for the pure joy of it, creating something new, and building prosperity in the process.

The first step in creating a wonderful game, the Tae Kwon Do Center, was taken last night.
The Center will focus on the whole person (mind, body, spirit). It will be a place for people of all ages with the intention of being able to unleash their full potential as a human being.

Given that I am engaged in a number of things, I do not have the time to be the one that teaches the classes. The challenge will be creating and building the team that will run the school. That is not the way that I know Tae Kwon Do schools to be started.

I will post here on the progress of the project in between the posts about transforming people's relationship to prosperity. :)

In keeping with the topic of "prosperity consciousness", I want to add a couple of specific examples of what is possible.

We can really ask ourselves if it is possible to love what we do, have a huge vision for what we are up to, and make money at it.

In the past year, I have seen it happen. Whether it has been through a few volunteer coaching sessions or a professional coaching session, I have been fortunate to give coaching to people who have a huge vision and are fulfilling upon becoming millionaires.

In each case, the person tapped into their networks or the networks of others. Each person gave up the idea that they could not be a millionaire and fulfill on a vision that brought them joy. And, in each case, the person built their success upon the lessons of their failures and the failures of others.

In one very specific case, I had the opportunity to pro-actively engage in my network on behalf of a real estate investor who has a huge vision that goes beyond real estate investing.

We generated an abundance of people who would be willing to be a money partner provided the numbers of a multi-million dollar deal worked.

Generating the abundance of resources that could finance the investor's deal, in a short period of time, was amazing. There was another component that I found to be incredible.

I had the opportunity to get in touch with people I had not spoken to in months. In some cases, I was in communication with someone where I thought the relationship was permanently damaged. The game was just too big to be stopped by circumstances and what I thought I might happen. The end result was that there was a profound joy in the act of creating the resources for the deal and connecting with people. A whole new sense of freedom became available, and a whole new sense of what is possible became available.

I became very aware that money is not the root cause of what prevents people from realizing their dreams, following their bliss, or having their passions realized. There are so many resources out there that we can use. All we have to do is ask and honor people.

This is the first poem I wrote as an adult. It was one those things that was writen when I feared taking a stand to do what I loved at the time.

>>>>>>>

THIS IS THE MOMENT

The greatest torture is to be prevented from pursuing our passion.
Will we be destroyed in the pursuit?
In the destruction, will we become slave to the situation or
Will we take a stand and dare to dream?
This is the moment when we rise again to risk it all
When we become unstoppable
When the fear dissipates and
When obstacles catapult us towards success
This is the moment when the magic and the dream come alive again.
This is the moment when we begin to live.

One of the reasons I chose to play in the arena of prosperity is because money is one of the elements, in life, that has the greatest effect on people. People's perceptions of money can be very stressful. There are still people in the world who sell themselves into slavery just to pay off their debts.

What is money, though? Is it really that green stuff or those metal chunks that people carry around or is there another way of viewing it?

Money can be considered (and it has been said this way by at least a few) as an energy exchange. Our customers and/or our employers pay us x amount of dollars for the amount of time and effort that we spending "working".

Now I have this question to ask. Have you ever noticed a person who hated their job making a lot of money? What about the football player whose heart isn't in the game?

Have you seen someone who loves what they do or the football player whose heart is on fire with the love of the game? What happens in their lives? How much do they make as a result?

My most specific example is of Tae Kwon Do schools. I can typically tell whether or not they are making money when I walk in the door. The reason? There are many factors, and the biggest one is that I can tell whether or not the instructor loves what he does.

It is possible to make lots of money when you hate or love what you do; however, I would assert that you would be making more per hour if you were doing what you loved. People are attracted to those who do what they love. Opportunities and doorways open up where none existed before. Abundance shows up with ease, and it is as if such people flow through life.

What do you see about how you perceive money?

When I first began my coaching business, I had a tough time choosing which area I would like to coach in. When I looked around the books I had and the people I had coached for leadership programs, I noticed that I the I remembered most the sessions where coached people in the areas of money and living their passions.

And, I began to look at prosperity. But what is prosperity?

The dictionary defniition is prosperous condition, good fortune, wealth, success, etc.
The dictionary definiteion of prosper is to succeed, thrive, grow, etc. in a vigorous way.

What prosperity means to me is that we and the people around us are thriving in the areas of money, fufilling relationships with people (including friends and family), great conversations with people we meet, our well-being is thriving, that we get paid to do what we love to do, etc.

And when one thing is out of balance (ex: well-being is not thriving), that has an effect on every area of our life.

Mary

I have been thinking about leaders and leadership considerably over the past few days. Over the years, I have read books about leadership, created posts on leadership, observed leaders, and taken a few leadership programs, led, and still lead.

Leaders come in all different styles. There were some leaders that stood out from the others. They were like a moving force in the world that could not be stopped. In some cases, you know that if you had your eyes closed and the person walked in the room, you would know it. What is that?

Well, in my observation, I have noticed that the greatest leaders had a profound vision for the world that they were living into (i.e. lived and breathed) and they loved what they did.

I aspire to be that. Wait! I choose to be the possibility of that!

Mary

This week, I had to get a good start on a bio of myself. When you write something like that, it really is an acknowledgement of all that you have been, all that you are, and all that you will be. Their are experiences that we take for granted that others may find to be amazing.

The questions for the day: What are all the experiences and accomplishments that you have had ove your lifetime? What do you appreciate about all of them? What do you appreciate about yourself? What do you appreciate about others?

Given that my coaching business is about Wealth Consciousness, I am going to start posting blogs about creating that type of consciousness.

The tip for the day: When you wake up, envision what you want your day to look like. In some circles, it would be called choose a possibility.

If you are not waking up envisioning your possibility, create something that will put you in that mental frame of mind. That something could be as simple as spending five minutes with a collage that represents the new life you are creating, reading an email or two on zaadz, or going out and reveling in a breathe of fresh air on your doorstep.

Mary

I took some time off to really rejuvenate my well-being, and I am back in action. I discovered that I am most passionate about coaching people to fulfill their dreams while getting paid for it. I am also passionate about creating a Tae Kwon Do school that concentrates on transforming the whole person rather than just the physical aspect of the person.

In my world, if people followed their dreams people's well-being and wealth (money, fulfillment, etc.) would be transformed. There would be peace in the world. We have the resources for every person on the planet to live their dream rather than just a small percentage.

I am not sure how I will create the world of people living their dreams beyond my coaching, and I don't have to know yet.

What has been inspiring is that my second client is playing a big game in business, and he is already winning. So, it is appearing that when I lead a call where people have projects (business, socially conscious, etc.) or businesses that they create, they start being in action where inaction was the status quo. I am still not entirely sure what happened that this all started suddenly occuring when I have coached or led calls; however, it is really cool!

Miracles abound.

Mary

Yesterday I took an application to the Introduction Leaders Program. It's the one program of any transformational class I have taken, that has scared me the most. At the same time, it is pretty exciting. What I see is continuing to build two businesses and a peace project and having them all flourish. I also see the opportunity to be profoundly related to people.

On another note: I am finding that when I call people with the intention of being related, I am getting more and more calls and emails back from people who I haven't talked to in awhile. This has been really awesome. I don't know if people really know how wonderful they are.

Mary
